A social worker from Bremen and a teacher from London won the Contemporary Bulgarian Literature Without Borders Award

The poetry collection "At the Border. Poetry in the Crack" by Donka Dimova won the 2022 Contemporary Bulgarian Literature without Borders Poetry Prize, the National Endowment Fund "13 Centuries Bulgaria", which organized the event, said. For the first time, the contest is held in partnership with the Administration of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria. The first prize is the publication of the awarded works by the University Press "St. Kliment Ohridski". Originally from the coastal town of Burgas, Donka Dimova works as a social worker in Bremen, Germany.

Another Bulgarian - Zdravka Vladova-Momcheva from Great Britain - won the prize for fiction with her short story collection "Crossroads and Islands". She was born in Veliko Tarnovo and has lived in London since 2000. For the last 15 years she has been teaching Bulgarian language and literature at the Bulgarian School "Ivan Stancioff" at the Bulgarian Embassy in London.
