Sofia Diocese celebrates the birth of the Bulgarian Patriarch

The birth of His Holiness the Bulgarian Patriarch and Bishop of Sofia Neophyte was solemnly celebrated with a congregational Holy Liturgy and a Thanksgiving Service at the church of the Sofia Metropolitan "Sveta Nedelya" in Sofia. The celebratory services for the 77th anniversary of the Patriarch lasted for more than two hours.

In his speech, Bishop Polycarp of Belogradchik, who took part in the service, wished His Holiness "God to grant him longevity, to illuminate and sanctify his path with His grace, so that for a long time he may be among us, to bless and encourage us in spiritual life, and to lead the Bulgarian Orthodox Church wisely and graciously to a bright and worthy future."
