The countries that provide Ukraine with Soviet-era tanks are the winners, because they get new cutting-edge weaponry in return, Alexander Velev, former correspondent of the BNR in Berlin said. In his words, Bulgaria could help Ukraine the most with ammunition and is missing a big chance by refusing to send weapons.

"Ukraine needs modern weaponry, but it is still weak compared to Russia's firepower. We can help Ukraine a lot to balance this disadvantage," the journalist explained.

According to former Minister of Defense Professor Todor Tagarev, the short-range anti-aircraft missile systems“Strela” can be successfully used against Iranian drones. According to the expert, Bulgaria has ammunition stockpiles that must be used. Otherwise, they will be destroyed.
