A monument to the Miladinov brothers unveiled in Bulgaria's Blagoevgrad

A monument to the brothers Dimitar and Konstantin Miladinov was unveiled today in Blagoevgrad on the Day of the National Enlighteners and Revival leaders. Until now, the monument to the brothers, authors of the collection "Bulgarian folk songs",  stood in the Regional History Museum in Blagoevgrad but at the insistence of an initiative committee, it is now placed in the town centre in front of the building of the American University and the Faculty of Law and History of the Southwest University "Neofit Rilski". 

The monument to the Miladinov brothers who were born in the town of Struga, in today's North Macedonia, was officially unveiled by the mayor of Blagoevgrad, Ilko Stoyanov. 
"From today we have our own place where we can pay tribute to the Bulgarian educators, it is a privilege for me as the mayor of the town to inaugurate this monument," said Stoyanov.
