President Rumen Radev bestows Honorary Badge to Bulgarian scientists and artists

President Rumen Radev awarded biologist professor Diana Petkova with the Honorary Badge of the Head of State for her significant contributions to education and science. At the ceremony, the president's badge was also presented to Prof. Georgi Safev for the development of Bulgarian medical education and on the occasion of his 80th anniversary.

Arch. Kostadin Sandev also received the award for his contribution to the town planning of Blagoevgrad and Bansko and for his 75th anniversary. Angel Wagenstein was honored for his outstanding contribution to Bulgarian culture and for his 100th anniversary. His granddaughter, Jacqueline Wagenstein, received his award.

The President pointed out that each of the people who received the award is a part of the spiritual and intellectual power of the homeland and they contribute to the image of Bulgaria beyond the borders of the country.
