No Bulgarians reported injured in Istanbul explosion

There are no reports of Bulgarian citizens injured in the blast in central Istanbul, the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced

Six people were killed and at least 81 were injured in Sunday's explosion on Istanbul's Istiklal popular pedestrian shopping street. The Turkish authorities are investigating the blast as a terrorist attack. 

According to information from the Consulate General of Bulgaria in Istanbul, there are no calls from people looking for relatives or people who are themselves looking for assistance. 

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry has expressed its condolences to the families of the victims on its Twitter page.

The person who left the bomb has been arrested by the police, Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu announced.
