Charges have been brought against all 13 individuals apprehended for paedophilia, as a sufficient amount of evidence of crimes committed has been collected, Siyka Mileva, spokesperson for the Prosecutor General said for public service TV BNT.  A child pornography network was taken down yesterday whose members exchanged child pornography material.

The individuals charged have been detained for 72 hours. Meanwhile, a large number of computer configurations have been confiscated which will undergo expert assessment in the coming days. Only then will it become clear whether the victims of the criminal network included Bulgarian children. Many of the suspects detained are married with children and have prestigious professions. “We need harsher punishment for such crimes,” Siyka Mileva said.
