Startup contest for female entrepreneurs in Varna

Photo: RAEI, Varna

An agrofood startup contest affords some of the most talented female entrepreneurs an opportunity to present their own projects and to obtain support so they can develop their ideas.

The contest is organized by the Regional Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovations, Varna (RAEI) with the financial support of Empowering Women in Agrifood – EWA, Bulgaria and the EU’s EIT Food - European Institute of Innovation and Technology.

Ten ladies from the EWA Bulgaria 2022 programme are taking part in the contest and they will compete in “pitching”. Each will have seven minutes to convince the jury and the audience of the potential of their enterprise, and another seven to answer questions.

The projects will be evaluated by a distinguished jury in front of an audience, special guests, investors and media. The grand prix is EUR 10,000, and EUR 5,000 for second prize.
