Meanwhile, the southern Ukrainian city of Odessa was left without power on Saturday after Russian drone strikes on the electricity generating system. “The current situation in Odessa is very difficult, because the strikes targeted the energy infrastructure”, said Dmitry Terzi, Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Center for Bulgarian Culture.

According to the Institute for the Study of War, Russia likely modified Iranian-supplied drones to operate in colder weather conditions and resumed using Iranian-made drones to strike Ukrainian cities for the first time in three weeks on December 7, BBC reported.

Romania’s navy carried out a controlled explosion on Saturday of a naval mine that had drifted some 4.6 kilometers north of the Black Sea port of Constanta, the BNT reported. The navy was alerted by a Turkish cargo ship. Since the war started, Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria and Ukraine have destroyed roughly 40 mines in western waters of the Black Sea.”
