The Bulgarian parliament will initiate an international high-level EU-Turkey meeting to discuss migration, border control and visa facilitation for Turkish citizens.
Agreement on such a meeting was reached by the President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Vezhdi Rashidov and his Turkish counterpart Mustafa Şentop during a one-to-one meeting in Ankara, Turkey. The aim of the meeting is to restart the process, launched in 2018 in Varna, when Bulgaria acted as mediator between the EU and Turkey, Vezhdi Rashidov announced in a statement to the media in Turkish parliament.
