According to Energy Minister Rosen Hristov, the agreement is a significant step towards the diversification of the supply of nuclear fuel both in implementation of the European strategy and the decision of the National Assembly to accelerate the process of securing an alternative supplier.

A similar contract is to be signed with the French company Framatome for the supply of fuel for Unit VI of Kozloduy" NPP.
