"The Skin of the World" by Lachezar Lozanov, "Eight Beats of Silence" by Marin Marinov and "The Owl's Dream" by Dimitrinka Zhelyazkova-Etina are the winners of the competition of the League of Bulgarian Writers in the USA and Worldwide. Poet Ivan Burzakov was awarded for his patriotic activity through the association "Professor Burzakov".

The awards were presented today at the "Sts. Cyril and Methodius" National Library. The League awards every two years the best Bulgarian prose and poetry. 37 collections of poetry written in Bulgarian in 22 countries have applied for the 2021 and 2022 awards.

"We have a lot of talented, knowledgeable people, people who know the Bulgarian soul. From these people we expect wisdom. We expect them to show the way, the light," said Vice President Iliana Iotova, who was a guest at the event.
