The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has approved the conclusion of an agreement between Bulgaria's gas company Bulgargaz and the Turkish state-owned oil and gas company, which provides access to Bulgargaz to the terminals for regasification of liquefied natural gas and its subsequent transfer to the territory of Bulgaria for the period 1 January 2023 - 31 December 2035.

The positive effect of the signing of the Agreement and the subsequent contract for the supply of natural gas with the Turkish company is expressed in the long-term provision of capacity for regasification and storage of liquefied natural gas for the needs of the customers of the Bulgarian gas operator in the amount of up to 1,3 billion cubic metres per year, according to the government press service.
