British detainee agrees to be handed over to UK authorities

The British citizen who was detained in Bulgaria on terrorism charges has agreed to be handed over to British authorities. 

The 28-year-old David Bodil, wanted on an Interpol red card, was arrested by special police officers on January 10 in the village of Lyubenovo near Pleven. He is the subject of a UK arrest warrant on charges of possession of explosives, which carries a penalty of life imprisonment. 

Today, during the extradition hearing, Bodil took the opportunity to voluntarily agree to surrender himself to the British authorities.
