Bulgaria may have the first medical helicopter in June at the earliest

Bulgaria may have the first mecial helicopter in June at the earliest. The country will receive it on a 1 year lease. This will happen if Bulgaria Heli Med Services EAD does not close and completes the announced public tender for dry lease of medical helicopters, the association’s director Georgi Gvozdeykov said.

 If the caretaker government closes the company, the procedure for renting mecical helicopters is to start all over again, Georgi Gvozdeykov explained. Bulgaria Heli Med Service EAD has received one offer from Slovakia and Belgium each for rented medical helicopters. A contractor should be selected by February 17. Flight crew training will continue for 4 months.
