"Bulgaria has not exported arms to UkraineBulgaria has an arms industry which produces ammunition and weapons that are sold to companies. Therefore, the responsibility lies with the companies themselves because they trade with these weapons", the member of the National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party Ivan Ivanov said for the BNR

"On the other hand, if the arms industry ceases to manufacture arms and its products are not traded, many people will become unemployed. The BSP continues to defend the position of non-intervention in the military conflict between Ukraine and Russia. That is why, during the coalition government of Kiril Petkov, BSP was against the exports of arms directly and free of charge to Ukraine, because this poses threats to our national security”, noted Ivan Ivanov.

The position of the socialists is among the primary reasons why “We Continue the Change” has refused to participate in the formation of a government on the mandate of the BSP. In an interview for the BNR, “We Continue the Change” MP Iskren Arabadzhiev said that his party cannot compromise on its position on the war in Ukraine, as well as on the Eurozone entry, and the judicial reform.
