The BNR Symphony Orchestra will open the year with a World Premiere

With a world premiere, the Symphony Orchestra of the BNR will open the new ‎year 2023 with the guest conductor Konstantin Dobroikov.‎

In addition to the overture "King Lear" by Hector Berlioz and ‎Symphony No. 40 by ‎Mozart, included in the first concert for the year of the orchestra, tonight at 7 pm ‎in Sofia’s Bulgaria Concert Hall, the musicians will present for the first time to an ‎audience "Duermevela" - an interlude and epilogue for orchestra by the young ‎and talented Bulgarian composer Peter Kerkelov, written in 2022 especially for ‎the Symphony Orchestra of the BNR. ‎

Peter Kerkelov won the prestigious prize of the "International Tribune of the ‎Composer" in Stockholm in the under 30 category with the play "Screaming ‎Attempt" in 2012, and four years later his work "Time Etudes" ' for orchestra, two ‎female choirs and a voice solo entered the top 10 selection of the same ‎competition. ‎
