Citizens protested in front of the European Commission building in Sofia to express their dissatisfaction with the suspension of several Russian TV channels in Bulgaria. The rally was organized by the National Russophile Movement, the National Movement for a Left Unification (NDLO) and the National Strength Movement, the BNR’s reporter Daniel Inkov informed.

Since February 1, Bulgaria has officially suspended the broadcasting of four Russian TV channels, including Channel One, bringing the number of suspended Russian TV channels to 13, the Union of Bulgarian Journalists said.

A petition against the censorship is being prepared. It will be submitted to the European Commission.
