The CEO of the state-owned dairy company LB Bulgaricum Nikolay Marinov was dismissed abruptly from the post. The State Consolidation Company, which owns LB Bulgaricum, is accusing Marinov of using imported raw material of reduced quality in the making of the dairy products, and of “waging war” on chain stores by making comments on their high mark-up and concluding contracts without the knowledge of the state-owned company principal. Nikolay Marinov has denied all accusations by the State Consolidation Company. In an interview with the BNR he stated that his removal from office was over infringed personal interests. The newly appointed CEO of the only state-run enterprise in the dairy sector Vladimir Rusev declared he would initiate an immediate financial audit.
