Currently, an action is being held in Bulgaria by the European Public Prosecutor's Office, BTA reported. Bulgaria's caretaker Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev confirmed the information and added that the materials relating to the operation would be announced in detail after its completion.

Asked if the investigation was related to the thermal power plants in the country, the minister said it was not correct to announce details of an action that is currently underway.

An hour ago, former environment minister Borislav Sandov announced on his FB page that the State Security Service and the State Agency for National Security were conducting a special operation at the TPPs across the country, under the supervision of the European Prosecutor's Office.
