Bomb threats received by dozens of schools across Bulgaria

Photo: BGNES

The principals of 16 schools in Sofia and dozens in Burgas and Varna received threatening emails about planted explosive devices. In some schools classes were suspended and the police searched the buildings. Nothing alarming has been found.

Law enforcement agencies are working on the case. The text of the messages is in Bulgarian but it was probably translated with the help of an online translator, it was reported. The sender's IP has been traced and it was found that they are not in Bulgaria. In its Telegram channel, the organization that sent the emails proclaims hatred against humanity and children, BNR reporter Nikolay Hristov informed.
