A Dobroslavtsi state-owned industrial zone has been established some 15 kilometers from the capital city Sofia by a decision of the caretaker government, Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Innovation and Growth Alexander Pulev announced.
The industrial zone will be located on the site of the former military airport in Dobroslavtsi (Sofia District). It will cover an area of 290 hectares (the size of 200 football grounds) and will specialize in the automotive industry. Bulgaria’s Minister of Economy Nikola Stoyanov noted that in the past 10 years more than 300 companies from the automotive sector have invested in Bulgaria and that 67,000 people work in them.
