French company to build a second malt plant in Pleven

Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov launched a new investment for 56 million euros in Pleven. The project is of the French company Malteries Soufflet Bulgarie, which has started the construction of its new malt plant, which will double its capacity in the country. 

Minister Stoyanov pointed out that the project, which will introduce innovations of the latest generation, will fully satisfy the demand of Bulgarian breweries and will create additional opportunities to increase exports to neighbouring countries. Malteries Soufflet Bulgarie currently employs 45 people and has an annual turnover of around 13 million euros.
