Bulgarian attar of roses has been included, under the Geneva act, in the international register of the World Intellectual Property Organization, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture Georgi Sabev. The deputy minister joined, online, the conference dedicated to geographical indications of agricultural and non-agricultural products organized by the patent office on World Intellectual Property Day, from Paris where he is taking part in a meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. This is the first Bulgarian farming product on this register.

“This will give Bulgarian attar of roses better visibility and protection. I hope to see other Bulgarian products on the register soon,” Deputy Minister Sabev said.
