President Rumen Radev is participating at the eighth annual Delphi Economic Forum. The event brings together heads of state and government, business and NGO representatives to discuss approaches to sustainable development and competitiveness and energy security in Europe

In his speech at the forum Radev highlighted the efforts of Bulgaria and Greece for the development of the transmission of electricity and for the electrical interconnection of the two countries and for the transport corridors between the Aegean and the Black Sea, an element of which is a memorandum for the development of the transport connection between the ports of Varna and Kavala to be signed next week, which will increase the security of supplies for the region. Russia's war against Ukraine and disrupted supply chains further underline the importance of cooperation, solidarity and sustainability both in the EU and in our region, the Bulgarian Head of State stressed.

Radev is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the forum today.
