There are suspects in the assassination attempt against Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev, Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev announced after a meeting of the secret services, but refused to give details.

"We are investigating all possibilities to trace the vehicle's route. No one was injured, the type of the explosive device does not allow to overcome the protection of this specific car", the minister pointed out.

"It's creating chaos, fear, it's an ugly event that has bad consequences. This makes us even more ambitious to complete the systemic and legal reform", commented the leader of the GERB party Boyko Borisov from Razgrad.

The attack on the chief prosecutor is an attack on the judicial reform, Gen. Atanas Atanasov, co-chairman of Democratic Bulgaria, stated.
