South Park Sofia hosts the International Spring Festival. The event offers a rich music and artistic program with the participation of singers, dance ensembles and craftsmen representing the cultural and musical heritage of four countries-Bulgaria, Greece, Armenia and Ukraine.

The festival is co-organized by the Situation Centre “Open Doors”. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine the centre has been providing Ukrainian citizens arriving or already settled in Bulgaria with psychological assistance, administrative assistance, etc. It supports the integration of people, displaced by the war in Ukraine, through empowerment and inclusion.

"Today, some of the people who have arrived in Bulgaria will perform Ukrainian songs on the festival stage. There will be a special contest for children, which will test their knowledge about Bulgaria and Ukraine. Those who are in Bulgaria and have found help and support through the Situation Centre “Open Doors” have different jobs. However, only artists and musicians are attending the festival.  On Sunday there will be Ukrainian-style drawing workshops" - Yoana Beshtyuk from the Situation Centre “Open Doors” said for Radio Bulgaria,

May 5 is dedicated to Greece. Folklore Ensemble Shevitsa and FolkustiX are to participate at the festival on May 6 (Saint George's Day and the Day of Bravery). The last day of the festival, May 7, is dedicated to Armenia.
