"We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" have called for the resignation of the deputy chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov because of the accident with Ivan Geshev's car at the beginning of the week.
This happened after Minister of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev refuted Sarafov's statement that Geshev’s family was also in the car with the Prosecutor General during the explosion on the Samokov-Sofia road. Due to the discrepancies in the information, the co-chairman of "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" Atanas Atanasov announced that he has "serious doubts" about the objectivity of the National Investigation Service, whose head is Sarafov.
The prosecutor said he would not resign. He explained the information he provided by the fact that he was misled by words said by Geshev that he was worried about the safety of his children.
