A map of Bulgaria, made by hand from traditional plants of this country, was presented at the International Flower Show at the Washington National Cathedral. The official opening on May 5 was attended by Bulgaria's Ambassador Georgi Panayotov, the Bulgarian Embassy in the US said.

The floral design depicts the Dobrudja region, called the "breadbasket of Bulgaria", the Rose Valley, lavender fields, mountain ranges and the Black Sea coast. Wheat ears, sunflowers, roses, lavender, carnations, mountain flowers and additional floral elements were used in the creation of the map. The author and executor of the project is Milena Ivanova. Residents and guests of the American capital can visit the flower exhibition on May 6 between 10 am and 5 pm.
