Magnitude 3.1 earthquake registered near Stara Zagora

An earthquake was registered before midday in the region of Stara Zagora. According to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences’ National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography, the earthquake measured 3.1 on the Richter scale and was registered at 11.22 AM at a depth of 2 kms. Its epicenter was 20 kms. from Stara Zagora and 97 kms. from Plovdiv.

No casualties or damage have been reported.
