Bulgaria's rhythmic gymnasts triumphant with three European titles in Baku

The European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku has turned into a triumph for the Bulgarian athletes who won the gold medals in all the categories played. 

First, Boryana Kaleyn won the all-around title in the individual competition, and after 29 years, Bulgaria once again has an absolute champion. The bronze went to Stiliana Nikolova, overtaken by the Italian Sofia Raffaeli by only 50 hundredths.

The Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics group consisting of Zhenina Trashlieva, Sofia Ivanova, Kamelia Petrova, Rachel Stoyanov and Radina Tomova also earned the gold in the all-around.

All the awarded gymnasts, together with the individual athlete Eva Brezalieva, won the gold medals in the team competition as well.

The Bulgarian team has so far won seven medals from the championships in Baku along with the two gold and one silver won by the Bulgarian junior group. Today, the Bulgarian girls in the individual and group junior competition will compete for the medals in the apparatus finals.

"I want to dedicate this medal to myself because I went through a lot of difficult things. Yes, there were many people who supported me, for which I am extremely grateful, but in the end, I myself managed to find the strength to continue", said Boryana Kaleyn after the award ceremony.
