The Ministry of Defence has terminated the public procurement procedure for the delivery of 6 overhauled engines for MiG-29 fighter aircraft, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports, citing data from the public procurement register.

The reason is that not a single bid has been made in the call for tender announced in March with an estimated value of EUR 13.49 million, VAT included, the BTA reports. At the end of June, the Bulgarian TEREM-HOLDING EAD won the other public contract for the repair of six engines for the Bulgarian MiG-29s.

However, it is going to use as subcontractor the Lutsk Repair Plant “Motor”, Ukraine, whose share of the contract is 90%.
