We mark 155 years since the death of Hadji Dimitar and his band of rebels on 15 July. To honour their memory, flowers and wreaths were laid at the monument to the local members of Hadji Dimitar’s detachment. The solemn commemoration of the 155th anniversary of the Buzludja epopee started below the historic peal, where a memorial service took place.

Two exhibitions are to take place, dedicated to the 140th anniversary since the first time it was celebrated, and 150 years since Hristo Botev wrote the poem Hadji Dimitar. The Kazanluk branch of the Tradition association is preparing a large-scale reenactment of the Buzludja epopee and the detachment’s last battle.
