Torchlit procession to mark 120 years since Ilinden-Preobrazhenie uprising

A procession with 120 lit torches to mark the 120th anniversary of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie uprising will set out from the monument to Gotse Delchev in Blagoevgrad today.

The programme of the celebrations of the struggle for independence of Pirin Macedonia also includes the opening of the second part of an exhibition at the Regional Museum of History. On the following day, a memorial service will be held at the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin church, and wreaths and flowers will be laid at different monuments in Blagoevgrad.
