Clouds and thunderstorms expected on Sunday

During the next 24 hours, a cold atmospheric front will pass through Bulgaria from west to east. Thunderstorms will develop in Western Bulgaria during the night and Sunday morning, and in the afternoon they will cover the eastern half of the country.

Daytime temperatures tomorrow will drop and highs will be from 25°C-27°C in places in Western Bulgaria to 34°C-36°C in the South-East, in Sofia - about 27°C.

It will be sunny along the Black Sea coast before noon. Moderate wind is expected in the afternoon. Cлouds will develop and by the evening it will rain and thunder in some places. Maximum temperatures will be between 27°C and 32°C. The temperature of the sea water is 24°C-27°C.

Over the mountains, the weather will be dynamic. Clouds will be variable, often significant. In the morning hours mainly in Western Bulgaria, and by the end of the day in the mountains to the east there will be precipitation and thunderstorm activity. Temperatures will drop as maximum temperatures at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 22°C, at 2,000 meters - around 14°C.

The Balkans will be under the influence of a cyclone centered over Poland. Clouds will be significant, and there will be brief showers and thunderstorms in many places. There are also conditions for hail. The phenomena will be more intense and in more places in the western half of the peninsula.

In Europe, a widespread cyclone will cause cloudy and rainy weather in eastern France, Benelux, Germany, central European countries, Denmark and southern Sweden. There will also be significant cloud cover in the Bay of Biscay, western France and the British Isles. It will be mostly sunny over the Iberian Peninsula, the Mediterranean and most of Eastern Europe.
