Bulgaria starts 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship with a victory

Bulgaria started its participation in the group stage of the 2023 Women's European Volleyball Championship with a victory. It defeated Croatia 3:1 (23:25, 25:23, 25:20, 25:18). The Bulgarian team coached by Lorenzo Micelli dominated the match in Arena di Monza. This has been Bulgaria’s second win against Croatia this summer. Radostina Marinova had a major contribution to the victory after scoring 23 points. Mira Todorova scored 12 points.

In the other two matched in Group B, Italy beat Romania (3:0), while Bosnia and Herzegovina scored a dramatic 3:2 win against Switzerland. Bulgaria will play against Bosnia and Herzegovina at 19.00 pm on August 18.
