Nurgyul Salimova has qualified for the final of the Women's Chess World Cup in Baku. In the semifinals, the twenty-year-old Bulgarian grandmaster eliminated Anna Muzychuk of Ukraine by 3.5:2.5 points. In the rapid chess tiebreak, Salimova won by 2.5:1.5 points after the two chess players had drawn twice in the classical chess games. In the final, Nurgyul Salimova will face Aleksandra Goryachkina (Russia), seeded No 2 in the tournament.
