Almost one hectare of woodland in the vicinity of Radomir consumed by wildfire

A wildfire in Golo Burdo mountain near Radomir spread to almost 1 hectare of woodland, the Bulgarian news agency BTA reports. According to the Fire Safety and Civil Protection Chief Directorate, the fire has been localized. The fire was reported at around 8.30 last night.

Three fire trucks from the Fire Safety and Civil Protection regional directorate in Pernik and three forestry employees took part in the efforts to extinguish the fire. One fire truck and three firefighters from Radomir, as well as forestry employees worked through the night to put the fire under control. During the day the situation in the area will be evaluated.
