A forest fire, which broke out yesterday in a region that is difficult of access between Hvoyna village in the Rhodopes and the natural landmark Chudnite Mostove, has spread to 55 hectares of pine wood.

The efforts to extinguish the fire continued through the night, with two teams of firefighters preventing the spread of the fire towards the village. The efforts have been joined by four fire engines and two heavy-duty vehicles, by teams from the State Forest Enterprise, as well as volunteers. Two helicopters sre also expected to join in.
