A protest against the amendments to the Energy Act and the liberalization of the electricity market will be held today in the town of Kyustendil, southwestern Bulgaria, the BNR‘s correspondent in Kyustendil Kiril Falin reported. According to the organizers, led by municipal councilor Ognyan Atanasov, the bill aims to drastically increase the price of electricity for household customers from January 1, 2024, and only serves the interests of power traders.
