Weather forecast for 5 September

Thunderstorms, snow on the highest peaks

Precipitation will stop overnight in most of the country. On Tuesday, clouds will break and decrease over northwestern areas. Significant clouds will form over the rest of the country. Short-lived showers and thunderstorms will occur in many places in southern and eastern Bulgaria. Rain will be intense in the Rhodope Mountains and southeastern regions, where there will be conditions for hail. Moderate to temporarily strong northeast winds in the eastern part of the country. Maximum temperatures will prevail between 22°C and 27°C, in Sofia around 22°C.

It will be mostly cloudy over the mountains. In many places there will be precipitation, in the Rhodopes there will be brief intense rains with thunderstorms. On the highest peaks of Rila and Pirin the precipitation will be of snow. Moderate and strong winds will blow from the east-northeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m will be about 12°C, at 2,000 m - about 7°C.

The Black Sea coastline will be overcast with moderate and strong northeast winds. In many places there will be short rainfall and thunderstorms, temporarily intense on the southern coast. Hail is likely. Maximum temperatures will be 24°-27°C, and sea water temperatures will be around 26°C. Sea swell will be 3-4.
