In an interview for public service TV BNT, Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Iotova said that Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov should resign after comparing grain growers to terrorists.

‘’Producers are pitted against processors’, said Vice President Iotova. According to Iliana Iotova, an easier solution was to find a consensus option for importing the grain, through a preliminary analysis, as other countries have done.

Nikolay Denkov invited the grain producers to a meeting, but they refused to meet with him. Commenting on the farmers' refusal to meet with him, Nikolay Denkov said "I will not negotiate with terrorists".
