With her debut song "Blue Talisman" at the beginning of the new millennium, Sophia found a firm place on the Bulgarian music scene. More successful singles followed, two albums, numerous participations in charity causes, new creative pursuits, including the "Zemela" duet with her childhood friend Viktoria Mancheva... But also a lot of pain, which in recent years led her to the gloomiest corners of her soul. She did not want to sing and even stopped listening to music altogether. After winning the battle against addiction, Sophia is here again with a new song called “Fateful", dedicated to the person next to her.
"My songs are melancholic and that's the way to express myself and overcome my pain. But now I'm inspired by love. Somehow I pulled myself together. As I sing in my iconic first song - today I'm whole again. 22 years later, I'm truly experiencing this.”
The song is composed by Momchil Kolev and his son Kaloyan Kolev made the arrangement. Yana Lazarova wrote the lyrics, which fully express the feelings of the singer.
In addition to recording new songs, Sophia is currently studying psychology and working in a therapy center for addicted people. Having passed through this path, she already knows that there is a way out and salvation. And she feels obliged to help others:
"There are many suffering people who are ashamed to talk about their problem. And we should overcome these stigmas imposed in our society. Because it is a disease and there is a way out and a way to live our lives happy and free."
