The leader of GERB party, Boyko Borissov, stated that the best final result of the local elections would be if all three parties entering the government have the most municipal councilors and mayors. "This will reaffirm the government," Borissov said in parliament. He emphasized that GERB and "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" specifically selected non-party candidates for the local vote, who will be able to work together after the elections, so that chaos does not occur in municipalities. "MRF participates in all votes, always.... If you want us to put up some sort of veil and say that we work behind the scenes, we do not agree," the politician explained the mechanism of power.

There is no need for a coalition agreement, MRF deputy Delyan Peevski also said in the parliament. "All important decisions cannot happen without the MRF, society has chosen certain parties," Peevski explained.

The two politicians expressed support for the proposal submitted to the parliament to postpone the debates in the parliament on Budget 2024 until after the elections, so that there would be no pre-election populism.
