50 years after the first recording of Prituri se Planinata, the Bulgarian National Radio presented, for the very first time, a new version of the iconic Bulgarian folk song.
The song is performed by the Children’s Radio Choir, the Symphony Orchestra and the Folk Music Orchestra of the BNR.
The late Hristo Nedyalkov, who was conductor and leader of the Children’s Radio Choir for many years, included the song in the choir’s repertoire, and invited composer Julian Slabakov to make the arrangement of Stefka Sabotinova’s song.
Conductor of this latest version is the current leader of the BNR’s Children’s Radio Choir, Maestra Venezia Karamanova. The video was directed by Lubo Marinov, cameraman Boyan Karamfilov. The soloist of the Children's Choir is young Boris Stoynov. The recording was made by a team of sound engineers from Studio 1 of the BNR.
The Bulgarian National Radio will continue to produce performances by the Children’s Radio Choir, the Symphony Orchestra and the Folk Music Orchestra.
