Bulgaria has submitted the documents for receiving the second payment under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. This happened after more than 30 measures were implemented in the past 3 months, which make up for the serious delay in the implementation of the plan.
The deadline for the implementation of the measures was until the end of 2022. With the submission of the documents, access to funds of about 4.5 billion euros under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism has once again been granted, the Ministry of Finance reports. The second payment under the Mechanism totals about EUR 700 million and includes 66 stages and measures, as 22 of them are legislative changes. A total of 62 stages have already been completed, or 94%.
The European Commission has two months to evaluate the submitted document.
