A Prayer for Peace at the Sofia Central Synagogue

At the Central Synagogue in Sofia today at 1 pm the faithful will offer their prayers for peace. "The event is a response of the Jewish community in Bulgaria and all friends of Israel. We will express our solidarity and empathy for the victims and their families, and call for peace in the region after the unprecedented terrorist attack on Israel on 7 October 2023. 

"The organizers from the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria "Shalom", the Central Israeli Spiritual Council, the Zionist Federation of Bulgaria, the “Friends of Israel in Bulgaria – Negev” and the American Jewish Committee in Bulgaria said. President Rumen Radev, Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel, the Speaker of the National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov, the Mayor of the capital Yordanka Fandakova, representatives of the institutions and the diplomatic corps will be present at the ceremony.
