Ministry of Economy launches affordable products initiative

The Ministry of Economy and Industry is launching an initiative “Available to you” aimed at making affordable essential products available. This was announced by Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov at the forum More than Trade, organized by the Association for Modern Trade.  

Tomorrow, 19 October, the idea for the chain stores which choose to join the initiative to sell food from the small consumer basket – bread and cereals, meat and meat products, dairy products, eggs – at the lowest prices possible will be discussed with businesses. In the words of Minister Bogdanov, no administrative restrictions will be imposed, the prices will be made public, opening the way for competition. Bogdan Bogdanov said further, that the initiative must not be at the expense of producers or distributors.
