Spanish film One Love wins grand prize at Cinelibri book to film international festival

The Spanish 140-minute drama One Love won the Grand Prix for best book-to-film adaptation at the 2023 international book to film festival Cinelibri.

The choice of the international jury was announced by William Baldwin. The film, directed by Isabel Coixet, who is also screenwriter alongside Laura Ferrero, is based on the novel by Sara Mesa. One Love was also nominated for best film at the film festival in San Sebastian. The Cinelibri prize was received by the Spanish ambassador to Bulgaria Alejandro Alejandro Polanco Mata.

The prize in the documentary competition for 2023 went to the film Anselm directed by Wim Wenders. Anselm  is a portrait of one of the most outstanding and original contemporary German artists and sculptors – Anselm Kiefer.
