The increase in the sale of new cars in Bulgaria over the first 9 months of the year is four times higher than of used cars, indicate data of the Association of Car Manufacturers and traffic police.

But in absolute terms, for every new car sold in Bulgaria, 5 used cars are imported. According to statistics, 27,382 is the number of new cars bought during the first 9 months of the year as against 144,613 used cars. The tendency holds of more than 60% of the used cars imported into the country being more than 10 years old – a total of a little over 108,000.
